The service at the Potter House ofDallas was interrupted on Sunday when Bishop T.D. Jakes had a health scare during his sermon. Jakes, a well-known pastor and motivational speaker, had just discussed the joys of preaching right before the incident took place. Videos capturing the medical emergency quickly circulated on social media.

"I still love to preach. I'm not tired of preaching," Jakes, 67, told the congregation. "I miss you. Have you ever visited someone in the hospital thinking you'd uplift them, only to find they uplifted you instead? That's similar to preaching," he explained. "You believe you're giving something, but you end up receiving more than you gave."

He proceeded to recite Psalm 19:14 before falling silent. "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, my redeemer; let them go in peace," he stated. After that, he ceased speaking and appeared to have a spasm while sitting, gazing into the distance. Attendees hurried to the stage to assist him, and one speaker urged the audience to pray for him during the situation.

Later on Sunday, the preacher's Xaccount provided an update regarding the health incident. "Today during the service, Bishop T.D. Jakes had a brief health scare and received prompt medical attention after delivering his powerful hour-long message," the post read.

The update also mentioned that Jakes is currently "stable and receiving care from medical professionals." "The entire Potter's House family appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support we’ve received from the community," the message continued. "Thank you for your understanding and ongoing prayers.
